Estimates, not professional advice

The calculators and guides give estimates based on the formulas and sources described on each page. They are for general information. They are not a substitute for advice from a qualified pool professional, electrician, gas fitter or engineer, and they don’t account for every condition in your pool.

Chemical safety

Pool chemicals can cause burns, release toxic gas and start fires. Always read and follow the product label. Never mix chemicals with each other, add chemicals to water and not water to chemicals, wear eye and hand protection, and store products as the label directs. Add large doses in stages and retest before adding more. Keep chemicals away from children.

No warranty

We work hard to keep the site accurate, but it is provided “as is” without warranties of any kind. Product strengths, prices and regulations change, and test kits have limits.

Limitation of liability

To the extent permitted by law, Pool Calculus is not liable for any loss or damage arising from use of the site, including damage to pools, equipment or property, or injury from chemical handling.

We link to sources and other websites for reference. We don’t control them and aren’t responsible for their content.

Use of the content

You may use the calculators freely and share links to any page. Please don’t copy the site’s text, code or illustrations wholesale.
