Privacy policy

This policy explains what information Pool Calculus (“we”) collects when you use poolcalculus.com, and how it is used.
Calculators run in your browser
The numbers you type into a calculator are processed on your own device. We don’t receive or store them.
Information stored on your device
We use your browser’s local storage for two conveniences: your choice of US or metric units, and the last pool or hot tub volume you calculated, so other calculators can offer it. You can clear these at any time by clearing your browser’s site data.
Hosting and server logs
The site is hosted on Cloudflare. Like any web host, Cloudflare processes technical data such as IP addresses and browser type to deliver pages and protect the site from abuse.
Analytics
We may use Google Analytics to understand which pages are used. Google Analytics uses cookies to collect information such as pages visited, approximate location and device type. You can opt out with Google’s browser add-on.
Advertising
We use Google AdSense to show ads. Google and its partners use cookies to serve ads based on your visits to this and other websites. You can learn how Google uses this information at How Google uses information from sites that use its services, and manage ad personalization in My Ad Center. Visitors in the UK, EEA and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalized ads are shown.
If you email us, we use your address and message only to reply. We don’t add you to any list.
Children
The site is not directed at children under 13, and we don’t knowingly collect their personal information.
Your choices and rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access or delete personal data held about you. Because we don’t hold personal data beyond emails you send us, most requests are handled by clearing your browser data or by Google’s controls above. For anything else, contact us.
Changes
If we change this policy we’ll update the date at the top of this page.
